Primitive Camping in the area

Unusual stone formations
This morning we drove about 35 miles along the Colorado River along the La Sal mountain range. We saw Fisher Towers, the Priests and Nuns and Castle Rock in Castle Valley. The spires are fairy tale in appearance. There is basic camping and parks along the way. There was a beautiful resort ranch for horseback riding as well. The weather here is hot and dry, getting into the 90's during the day. The sky here is an incredible blue as a backdrop against the red stone and sand earth. There is little vegetation, mostly scrub brush and desert. Very unusual and beautiful in its own way.
