Yellowstone Lake
Yesterday we traveled 275 miles around the upper rim of Yellowstone National Park. We traveled from Cody, Wyoming via St Joseph scenic route to Cooke City, Montana, through Tower Junction to Mammoth Hot springs. We then went down through Norris to Fishing Bridge and out the East Gate back home to Cody. The East gate was closed yesterday morning due to snow. Lucky for us it opened when we needed to go back to Cody. It snowed, it rained, and we also got some 50 degree weather with sunshine. For us Floridians it was a cold day. Yellowstone is vast and has varied terrain. Yellowstone Lake is huge...like the ocean. We saw more buffalo, a black bear and an elk. Wow. Amazing landscape.
