Drove early from Bakersfield, California to Needles, California today. Arrived around noon. One mountain pass, and long up and down desert area terrain.Temperature today at 107 degrees. I went to the pool and my  ipod said temperature warning. Wow. Desert, but beautiful in its own way. Stayed at a KOA here in Needles. Will move on tomorrow early for Williams, Arizona and the Grand Canyon. Looking forward to cooler temperatures. This country is so vast and different. The roads in California jiggle everything you have. I hope we have better roads ahead. Our country needs some roadwork!
